This time, it’s international!
The Advanced Manufacturing Interdisciplinary Graduate Program is launching the 2021 Manufacturing Innovation Challenge. You and your team will design and prototype a wrist-mounted soil sampling device that can be used by astronauts on the surface of the moon. During the 12-week competition, you and your team will compete against your peers, be judged by expert industry professionals, and have the opportunity to earn cash prizes and a VIP trip to visit NASA JPL in Pasadena, California. Mines students will be competing in parallel with student teams at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, with a virtual final between the winning teams in December.
